The session will be held in the day-off from the M-Tel Masters.

(Sofia, May 2, 2006) Journalists will try their strengths on the chess board against the world champion Veselin Topalov on May 16th, during the day-off from the M-Tel Masters super tournament. The competition will start on May 10th and the final is on May 21st.

The unprecedented session will be played on the marble tables in the garden in front of the National Theater, which were granted last year by the biggest Bulgarian operator Mobiltel to all, who love the ancient game.

On the first board for the journalists’ team will play the doyen Valentin Serafimov from the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency. Also on the team are: Pavel Kolev from the newspaper 24 Chassa, Anthony Jordanov from newspaper Dneven Trud, Krassimir Kushev from the Bulgarian National Television, Lubomir Todorov from Topsport and Krum Savov from New Television. The seventh player will be determined through an inside tournament in the editorial office of newspaper Noshten trud. Who will be the representative from newspaper Standard is also not clear.
The most relentless player from the media team will receive a special prize from the sponsors of the chess tournament Mobiltel and Mineral Water Hissar from source Nr. 7
