Over 110 journalists accredited for the super tournament

(Sofia, May 11, 2006) The world-famous Brazilian writer made the first move of M-Tel Masters 2006. Coelho chose e2-e4 for the beginning of the game in which Peter Svidler plays with the white pieces against Veselin Topalov. The other two games of the first round of the tournament are Ruslan Ponomariov against Gata Kamsky and Etienne Bacrot against Viswanathan Anand.

The second edition of M-Tel Masters is an object of great media interest in Bulgaria and abroad. Almost 90 reporters, photographers and cameramen in Bulgaria have received accreditations from the press center of the competition in Grand Hotel Sofia. Over 20 foreign journalists from 10 countries are in Sofia to cover the tournament.

The competition is of 10 rounds and will end on May 21.
